Are your team members really stressed, or just pulling your leg?

Picture this: you're in the middle of a high-stakes project when you start hearing murmurs about psychosocial stress. Is it genuine concern, or are your team members secretly auditioning for an Oscar?

Stress is real, but sometimes, the drama can be too. So, how do you separate fact from fiction?

Join Blyde Neser, Chief Engagement Officer at Professional Coaching Solutions and Nicole Turnbull, Chief Courage Officer at Neon Shed as they dive into this tricky topic and help you understand how to identify if a team member (or members) are falsely claiming stress and sick leave.

They'll share a no BS guide to unmasking workplace mental health claims and help you create a stress-free and drama-free workplace!

Open Q&A

You can submit your questions before the session, as well as ask them on the day. Any questions we don't get to will be answered and available for all attendees.

Have you ever asked these questions:

  • How can I tell if workers are manipulating the system?
  • How do I spot the signs of deception?
  • What's the difference between slacking off and honest issues?
  • What can I do to increase personal accountability and responsibility with workers?
  • How can I increase trust and engagement with the team?
  • How can I prevent the risk of false complaints and claims
  • How can I improve the health and wellbeing of the team?
  • What exactly do I need to do to comply with the legislation...?

If so, you're not alone! Join us as we help answer these questions, leading to a safe, courageous and thriving culture.

Are you confused by the legislation?

Safety Regulators are taking enforcement action with employers and officers that are failing to proactively prevent and manage psychosocial hazards and harm.

There's always been an obligation for PCBUs to provide a safe physical and psychological work environment, however the rise in mental stress claims and the increased harm caused to workers and organisations has led to the increased focus on compliance, and the new Code of Practice for Managing Psychosocial Hazards*.

Some workplaces aren't doing anything to prevent or manage bullying, sexual harassment or discrimination, and others have a culture of excessive workloads, poor support and injustice.

Others are doing what they can to create a psychologically safe work environment, but are confused by the legislation or just don't know how.

*While Victoria doesn't have a Code of Practice, Regulators are still taking action!
